Emotional Wellbeing

Good emotional wellbeing starts with being understood

Emotional wellbeing is about how we feel inside and how we cope day to day. Everyone has emotions, and sometimes these can feel confusing, overwhelming, or hard to talk about – especially if communication is difficult.

We know that being understood and getting the right support makes a real difference to emotional wellbeing. Clear information, time to listen, and the right communication support can help people feel calmer, more confident, and more in control.

This page shares accessible information and resources to help support good emotional wellbeing.

We drew inspiration from The Incredible 5 Point Scale website where you can find other resources to help regulate emotions.

Baseline Chart

Our emotions, expressions and reactions look different to each of us. The Baseline Chart aims to help you describe what it looks and feels like then things are going well for you. This can help others to understand how your behaviour might change when things are not so good.
